This July, Huá Language Centre invites your child to join YaYa the Panda on a heartwarming journey back home to Beijing!

Inspired by YaYa’s real-life story as a cultural ambassador, this immersive Mandarin camp brings children through a vibrant world of traditional Chinese arts, crafts, and cultural heritage — all taught in a fun, engaging Mandarin environment.

🐾 The Story Behind the Journey
At just three years old, YaYa left Beijing for Memphis Zoo, where she spent 20 wonderful years sharing joy and friendship. Now, she returns home — but along the way, she stumbles upon a lively street filled with traditional craft workshops.

Curious and excited, YaYa stops at each one…
🔎 Learning about the stories behind the various art forms
🐼 And trying every craft she can!

Your child will follow YaYa’s journey through Chinese visual, performing, literary and culinary arts — all while building their Mandarin skills naturally through play and exploration.

🌟 Grand Finale: Show & Tell
At the end of each day — and especially on the final day — children will present what they’ve learned and created. This helps them:

✨ Build confidence in speaking Mandarin
✨ Reinforce vocabulary and concepts
✨ Take pride in their cultural creations

💡 Why Join YaYa’s Journey Home?
This camp is perfect for children who already know some Mandarin and are ready to use it more confidently in a fun, real-world setting.

As they follow YaYa through bustling streets and meet traditional artisans, children will:

✨ Pick up new words and phrases naturally through stories, crafts, and conversations
✨ Get more comfortable speaking Mandarin out loud with friends and teachers
✨ Learn to share their ideas and creations during daily Show & Tell
✨ Experience the richness of Chinese culture in a hands-on, memorable way

It’s a meaningful way for children to build confidence, express themselves, and experience Chinese beyond the classroom. Spaces are limited, and we welcome you to secure your child’s place early in this popular programme.

You can also pass us your details through this form, and we’ll get in touch as soon as possible.
